National Academy Analyst

Job Title: National Academy Analyst

Role Summary:

The Welsh Rugby Union Group are looking to recruit a National Academy Analyst to provide analytical services to the National Academy, referees and coach education departments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support to the National IPT teams (U20 Lead), develop analysis information dissemination strategies from National level through to IPTs, academies, age grade and school club hubs and coordinate with NS analysis for current research needs to use NA analysis as a test bed for innovative research projects.

Train to be a Coach Educator

The Coach Development department are seeking to teach and recruit Coach Educators to run and support our formal and CPD programme.

The successful individuals will take part in our educator training course before being deployed to work on our programme. Once qualified and have met the required standards of the programme, you will be allocated as required by the Regional Coach Development Officer.

The skills and attributes required for the positions are:

  • Act as a positive role model to coaches and other Coach Educators and Trainers
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to all those they work with
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Be open-minded, unbiased and adaptable to change
  • Possess and demonstrate self-reflective skills
  • Have great listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrate willingness to receive constructive feedback and develop their personal practise
  • Level 2 Rugby Coaching - desirable
  • Experience of the game or rugby
Remuneration for the role will be available on successful completion of the course and will be subject to our Casual Worker terms.

Please note: The course will commence 3 December 2017. In order to successfully complete the course, participants will be expected to be available for 3 days and 6 hours.
